Clouded in a sea of smoke
too dense to see the shore
smoldered in his own intentions

Struggling to stay afloat
wading in what drowns
balancing unknown dimensions

Choked by adolescent habit
though playful hours fade
darkening into thickness

Anxious panic suffocates
Overwhelmed by agony
Aching to end the sickness

Grasping til there's nothing
empty from the pain
beyond craving what he fiends

Failed to reach the shore again
drowned in ash
burning by his own means

Exposed


Reminding Self, 'I can't protect myself if I'm fully exposed!'

How long does self remain behind lock and key?


He stands before me, naked in his own

and I...

Tip toe from the darkness fully clothed

pealing off one layer of skin with accuracy and precision

remaining aware of the odds

What do I have to lose... everything

What do I have to gain... everything


Even swap, no swindle is what they say

but... how many practice?

such lost art lingers in the eyes of the beholder

Is it a setup warranting upset?

or simple satisfaction of peace of mind?


Moments without words speak boisterously

If only you deciphered silence you would be aware

I silently scream...

I want to show you love like...

like... malnourished minds want knowledge unfiltered

like... weary wondering eyes want rest

like... poets want vocalization through pentel pens

like...

Can you hear my silent screams?


Please excuse my mute characteristic

This pen bring clarity & sound to silent given words

Mind prepares platter for extreme light exposure

SPF fluctuate with time


Can I protect myself if I'm fully exposed?
