I am very solitary so it is hard to say who when there is no one
else around. I would have to say everyone around the world who has
ever been kind enough to say a nice thing about my work would be my
#1 supporters.
2. What advice would you give someone who wants to be an
artist?
Try to enjoy what you do. Once you find yourself not enjoying
yourself then you have crossed a line that you shouldn't have
crossed.
3. Who inspired you?
This is a bit hard to answer. No one person has inspired me... life
has inspired me.
4. What do you do to get your creative juices flowing?
Flowing? It's not an option. I have a retarded creative juice gland
that goes into spasm at anytime for no reason. I have to draw to
keep the juices from starving the oxygen to my head.
5. What inspires you to create?
Every few seconds or minutes or hours, there is a perfect alignment
of situation and atmosphere that I come across that makes me want
to create. I see these moments in life and they spark something in
me.
6. What are your aspirations?
To live, to have a family that is healthy and happy, to be
remembered.
7. Are there any future projects that you’re currently working
on?
There are always future projects I'm working on.. but unfortunately
nothing to talk about while this financial crisis is on.
8. Where are you from?
I was born in the desert and grew in the jungle, I ran the streets
and now live in the city.
9. What are you most proud of, out of all your artwork?
None of them.
10. If there is one thing you could change about yourself, what
would it be?
Nothing... I accepted my faults a long time ago
11. What do you like about your talent?
It pushes me to do better, never just to accept what is in front of
you. The ability, or realisation, to create liberates the mind from
the restrictions of expectation and allows you to see truths that
can push you to fix and make better if your heart allows it.
12. What’s the feeling you get after completing a project?
Relief!.. Thank god that is out of my head, let's move on to a new
one.
13. What’s the best thing your talent has done for you?
Given me the strength to fight and still live.
15. Are you the only creative one in your family?
I am the only one who has held on to it and not let it die or be
killed.
16. What is your favorite quote?
"They just hate me coz they ain't me!" Busta Rhymes - Higher
Learning.
17. If there is one thing you want to be known for, what would it
be?
Creating beauty, speaking the truth being a good person.
18. At what age did you start?
I have been told that it was around the time I started
walking..
19. How long do you see yourself being an artist?
haha... to be honest I don't even see it now. I do what I do to
keep my head clear so I can function in society. it was never a
decision, it's a neccessity, like insulan. I'm ready to give up now
if would let me.
20. What mediums do you choose to work with?
What ever is handy. Digital reaches more people quicker but I have
more respect for the traditional oils and acrylics.
21. What is your favorite artwork that you’ve created?
None but the one that best represents me is "are you ready"
22. Why is it your favorite?
Life is struggle and you have to fight through certain situations,
sometimes people try to mess with you to try and bring you down or
just stop you from going up. I have no fear of such people, I am
always ready. Are you ready?
23. How long does it take you to create?
5 minutes, 2 hours, 3 days, 1 month, 3 years... it all depends.
24. At what time of the day do you get inspired to create?
this is like epilepsy, anytime, anyplace, awake or asleep... it
doesn't matter.
