Freeze Frame
Attempting to stay in balance
while walking a narrow path.
The past: a mere reflection
no need for looking back.
Each step forward is surer
than the one that came before.
And although the way is risky
there’s no need to fear anymore…

- I've pretty much road tripped through the whole state. Just going and couch surfing with old friends. Yeah, Fayetteville is about 15 minutes from Lynchburg. I just mainly tell people I live close to where they make Jack Daniels Whiskey.LOL Thanks for the comments on my poetry. Merry Christmas!

Freeze Frame
Attempting to stay in balance
while walking a narrow path.

I sit and watch as you walk away
Reveling in the freedom you have found.

Sirens
I just finished this today...started it a few weeks back. I recently moved into a big(ger) city..Columbia, SC. After living in a small town of about 20k and then moving to the outskirts of Asheville in a quite residential area, the constant sounds of sirens really got to me for a while. I was walking to class one day with sirens blaring and the beginning of this popped into my head...just finished it up today. Contemplating...
Sometimes I wonder if I'm in the wrong field. I have been very...torn...as of late. I am currently in a Master's of Teaching program in Spanish but have always loved books and have always had this desire to be a writer.
