Simplest Needs

Passion thats escaping me is nowhere to be found
It’s as if my soul was buried underground
Even the light of the newest of days
Cannot see through the darkest haze

So I guess I’m farther away than I thought I was
Gone is the ray of light, gone just because
I’ve got no feeling of disrepair
Only of loss and a great despair

Virgin souls of the far away and long departed
Leave nothing behind but the brokenhearted
When all that remains is simply what’s left
And nothing more than the gain of a death

If I find a way to return back to your home
Know that there’s no way I’ll leave you alone
The world, the universe and all that exceeds
Is nothing compared to my simplest needs
